World number one Ashleigh Barty retires from tennis aged 25

"I'm so grateful for what tennis has given me. But I know the time is right for me to step awa and chase other dreams," Barty said.

Today is difficult and filled with emotion for me as I announce my retirement from tennis.

I am so thankfu for everything this sport has given me and leave feeling proud and fulfilled.
